1 x GPS plus plenty of spare batteries per Team
1 x Hand-Held Compass per Team
1 x Camera per Team
1 x Cellphone (charged & preferably Econet) per Team
2 x Water Bottle +/- 750ml and/or 1 x Hydration Pack per Team Member-advise carrying 3 Liters
1 x Headlamp/Torch plus spare batteries per Team Member
1 x Whistle per Team Member

On the Bike
1 x Helmet per Rider
2 x Spare Tubes, per Bike
1 x Tyre pump per Bike
1 x Patch Kit (be sure the glue is fresh) per Bike
Tyre tools, Allen keys per Bike
1 x Chain break per Team
1 x Derailleur Hangar per Bike

On the Hike
1 x Small Spade/Trowel per Team
20 Meters Nylon Rope per Team
1 x packet Solid fuel firelighters & matches (all sealed in plastic) per Team
1 x Orange Emergency Tube or a sheet of yellow/orange plastic. At least 150cmx200cm per Team
1 x Lightweight Tent or Bivvy per Team

On the Water
1 x Black Tube per 2 person Team - e.g. Team of 3 two tubes, Team of 4 two tubes (bigger the better)

Muesli & Powdered Milk (mixed together), Vitamins, Power Bars, Nuts & Raisins, Dried Fruit, Biltong, Jelly Babies, Rice/Noodles, Tea/Coffee, Sugar & Milk, Dehydrated Meals, Sachets of Energy Drink etc.
